Vince Will be singing during the 7th inning stretch at tonight's Cubs game against Milwaukee.
Game starts at 7:05 PM CT.
I'm a little late on posting this; been very busy these days, but here is a photo of Vince at the NHL Winter Classic at Wrigley Field, January 1, 2009.

CHICAGO - JANUARY 01: (L-R) NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman poses with actor Vince Vaughn during the NHL Winter Classic between the Detroit Red Wings and the Chicago Blackhawks at Wrigley Field on January 1, 2009 in Chicago, Illinois. (Photo by Tasos Katopodis/Getty Images for NHLI)
Vince Vaughn attended Saturday's game, which ended with that great on-field celebration after the Cubs earned the National League Central championship. If you weren't aware he was going to be there beforehand, you would have realized as soon as you heard the fans in the Terrace Reserved seating, going from leftfield to behind the plate, cheering wildly as he walked above them.
Vine Line columnist Jen Nowak spoke briefly with Vince and had the following to say:
"I first asked him what he was doing in Chicago. He replied that he lives in Chicago and that he was in town for the team, of course.
I spoke to him after he performed 'Take Me Out to the Ballgame,' so I asked about what he thinks about his singing voice. He usually thinks its pretty good, he said ... until he hears it. Though he did clarify that he doesn't get nervous.
That's about all we could discuss before fans swarmed him on the ramp!"

Vince sang "Take Me out to the Ball Game" at today's Cubs game. Here he chats with Ernie Banks, probably the most legendary player in the history of the Chicago Cubs franchise.
And congratulations to the Cubs for their win over St. Louis!

Vince is set to sing "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" once again at Saturday's Cubs game against the St. Louis Cardinals. Game starts at 3:55 PM ET.
Musician Dwight Yoakam performed at the Go Country 105 FM "Summer Under the Stars" Concert Sunday night at the Greek Theatre, and was presented with his Gold Record by Vince Vaughn and Jon Favreau!

And here he is tonight at the What Happens in Vegas premiere. The movie's screenwriter, Dana Fox, is writing the screenplay for 'Male Doula', one of Vince's projects in development at Universal.

Jon Favreau (director) and Vince at the Iron Man premiere tonight in Hollywood. Congratulations, Jon...you've come a long way, baby! You're money and you KNOW it!

The arrival time for this amazing day will be 7:30 am. Don't miss your chance! Visit drphil.com for more information. The taping is in Hollywood.
Vince Vaughn will be starring as Santa Claus’ lesser-known brother in the upcoming holiday comedy “Fred Claus,” but on Sunday the actor is getting an early Christmas present that definitely didn’t come from the North Pole. The gift comes courtesy of Texas Motor Speedway as Vaughn will get the rare opportunity to drive the official pace truck that will lead the 43-car field to the green flag for Sunday’s Dickies 500 NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series race (ABC-TV, 2:30 p.m. CT).
Traditionally, special race guests such as Vaughn get the chance to ride in the lead pace car or perhaps drive a secondary pace car. But by virtue of special permission from NASCAR, Vaughn will actually take the wheel from customary pace car driver Brett Bodine following an on-track orientation prior to the race.
Vaughn will drive a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado to officially start the most prestigious race in the Chase for the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup. The Dickies 500 possesses the largest crowd, purse and market size of any of the 10 races in the Chase championship playoff format.
"I’m thrilled that NASCAR and Texas Motor Speedway are giving me the opportunity to drive the official pace truck for one of the Chase championship's biggest races," Vaughn said. "It will be an honor to lead the talented field of drivers around Texas Motor Speedway."
Vaughn has established himself as one of Hollywood’s biggest names in comedy and has another potential blockbuster – “Fred Claus” – opening in theaters across the country on Friday, November 9. Vaughn has appeared in more than 30 major films, including a slew of smash hits in recent years. Among the notable were “The Break-Up,” “Wedding Crashers,” “Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story,” “Old School,” “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” and “Starsky & Hutch.”
“Vince Vaughn is one of Hollywood’s biggest stars and what better place to host him than the biggest race in the Chase,” Texas Motor Speedway President Eddie Gossage said. “I think he is in store for quite an adrenaline rush leading 43 NASCAR NEXTEL Cup stars to the green flag for the Dickies 500 in front of an enormous crowd. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.”

Vince is expected to make 3rd quarter appearance in TV booth during ESPN's Monday Night Football game tonight (10/29) between the Green Bay Packers and Denver Broncos in Denver. Game kicks off at 8:30 p.m. ET/5:30 p.m. PT on ESPN and ESPN HD. He will be interviewed by Mike Tirico, Tony Kornheiser and Ron Jaworski.

Ten years after a then little-known movie called "Swingers" was released, writer/actor Jon Favreau, actor Vince Vaughn and director Doug Liman reunited in the St. Regis Ballroom to celebrate what they refer to as the "slow-burning success" of a comedy about camaraderie, coolness and chasing girls.
The independent film -- shot in 20 days on a $250,000 budget -- achieved limited success at the box office after initial release. But, as months turned into years, the film gained a following. Eventually, a phrase from the film ("so money") became as common as the growing independent film culture.
During Saturday night's Comedy Fest panel discussion, the trio talked about the three-week journey it took to create the movie, and the roller coaster of events that ensued in producing a low-budget film.
"There were points when the cops were literally going to arrest us if we didn't shut down filming," said Liman. "There was a subtlety of emotion that was delivered under insane, insane conditions."
Filming in unapproved locations, the trio said they would set up shop in bars that were still open to the public and in diners that were serving breakfast, and drive down highways in which traffic was freely flowing.
A baby pulled from a car stopped at a red light was the only paid extra in the movie, replacing a 3-year-old hired through a casting service that turned out to be too old, as well as the "ugliest baby you've ever seen," said Favreau.
But producing the movie was not all theatrics.
Writer Favreau said he had been going through a difficult time in his life, after leaving love behind, and his character in the movie dealt with the self-esteem issues he was also experiencing.
"People get hooked onto the wrong message from the film, like how to get a girl in bed," said Favreau. "But really motivating the film is the characters' love for each other and they are longing for a companionship."
And for a film that focused largely on how to score dates and get over an ex, the panel said it really paid tribute to femininity and the way men deal with the opposite sex.
"We're dressed up, looked like the s-t, pretending we're in a Scorsese movie, but zoom in and we're really just scared," said Favreau.
Vaughn also agreed that a central theme was the nuances of masculinity.
"It's truthful and genuine because at that time these guys talked about girls a lot more than they got girls. They played video games, and they listened to that kind of music," said Vaughn. "By talking about women it was exposing male innocence for what it is."
Just as Favreau's character discovers that the path to finding love is to stop looking for it, Vaughn offered advice on relationships as well.
"Be yourself. If you have a connection with someone, great, but if you don't, move on," said Vaughn. "You are who you are, be yourself, that's the only way to go through stuff."
I posted a few pictures of Vince at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party posted in the gallery. Enjoy! :D

LOS ANGELES - Vince Vaughn will be honored for his creative achievements by the Multicultural Motion Picture Association's Diversity Awards on Nov. 13.
Vaughn will receive the Innovator Award for his "witty, creative" style, said association President Jarvee Hutcherson.
"He has people on the edge wondering what he's going to do next," Hutcherson said.
Dakota Fanning, Tyrese Gibson, Terrence Howard, Paul Haggis, Carlos Mencia and Sandra Oh will also receive awards at the 13th annual event, to be held at the Beverly Hills Hotel.
Honorees are chosen by the MMPA's 1,200 members, Hutcherson said.
The organization, founded in 1990, supports "a diversity of ideals, not just a diversity of cultures," Hutcherson said.

Watch out, Jennifer Aniston: Actor Vince Vaughn just made a throng of new female admirers.
*The dope: As one of 1,700 notable figures in the Chicago Public Schools' Principal for a Day program, Vaughn took the helm of Amundsen High School on the North Side (Oct 27, 2005) and wowed every female student and teacher in the building. "I couldn't control my female teachers," exclaimed "real" Principal Carlos Munoz.
*The scope: "I was greatly impressed with him," Munoz said of the North Shore native, who stayed at the school from 8:30 a.m. until about noon and visited nearly 20 classrooms in the process. "He spoke to my special-needs students about his own learning disabilities and told them, 'Don't feel out of place. A lot of people might be laughing now, but you're going to be a lot stronger if you stick to what you believe in and want to do.' "
*The hope: Vaughn pledged a donation to Amundsen and promised to make a return visit, according to Munoz. "'I'd like to make this a lasting thing, because I like the message that your school has for its students,'" Munoz quoted Vaughn as saying.
*The rope: Only a few students asked Vaughn about his kinda/sorta romance with Aniston, to which Munoz said Vaughn replied: "I didn't know the paparazzi was here."

Thanks so much to Jennifer from the office of Senator Dean Florez for sending us this wonderful news story:
BAKERSFIELD -- Bakersfield welcomed Vince Vaughn’s Wild West Comedy Show to town Thursday night, and Senator Dean Florez was on hand to honor the actor and comedian for his many contributions, both in entertainment and to the community.
Florez, D-Shafter, presented Vaughn with a resolution highlighting his many accomplishments in the entertainment field, from crashing weddings to cartwheeling through casinos, and praising his lesser-publicized charitable works.
The framed Senate Resolution commended Vaughn for his visits to troops in the Middle East, as well as for his contributions to the Children’s Defense Fund, Smile Train, Cure Autism Now, UNICEF and Army Emergency Relief, an organization that helps those who have lost a spouse while on active duty for the armed services.
Vaughn, who has starred in such hits as Wedding Crashers, Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story, and Swingers, was in Bakersfield to perform as part of his national “30 Days & 30 Nights – Hollywood to the Heartland” comedy tour.

Actor Vince Vaughn stopped by the DeFleury Dining Facility Sept. 6 to give Task Force Baghdad Soldiers a special viewing of his latest movie, "The Wedding Crashers."
The visit was intended to boost the Soldiers’ morale with the hit movie and an autograph session afterwards.
Vaughn said he was excited to bring his new release to Soldiers in Iraq while it was still playing in theaters back in the U.S.
The actor came out to a large crowd that packed the dining facility and the Soldiers’ excitement was obvious as they welcomed him with a standing ovation.
He thanked the Soldiers for the job they do and talked about the movie before playing it for the Soldiers.
Vaughn later signed autographs and posed for photos with every Soldier in attendance.
"I think the fact that he would come here was really admirable. Events like this really boost the Soldiers’ morale, and give them a highlight in their day," said Sgt. 1st Class William Hobgood. "Seeing him on the big screen, and then seeing him in front of you really personalizes him. It’s great to see someone so famous interacting with the Soldiers."

98 from N.Y.'s 69th tapped for first flight back
BY NANCY DILLON
DAILY NEWS STAFF WRITER

CAMP VICTORY, Kuwait - It was the best news he'd heard all year.
Sgt. Israel Mahadeo, 32, of Huntington, L.I., was in Kuwait less than four hours when he got word he was on the first flight back to Fort Dix, N.J.
"Awwwright!" he screamed as he jumped on the back of pal Sgt. Robert Vergith, 45, of upstate Celoron, N.Y. "I'm going home. I get to hug my wife, hug my kids. That's all I need."
A happy swarm of 98 soldiers in New York's famed Fighting 69th made the cut for the first flight home last night, while about 90 more were told to cool their boots in Kuwait until today. A few hundred others were even farther behind in the pipeline, still en route to Kuwait from Baghdad.
"We're used to it," said Spec. Acisclo Melendez, 27, from the South Bronx, who didn't make the cut. "It's the military. Sometimes you get it, sometimes you don't. At least we get to see the USO."
Indeed, actor Vince Vaughn visited the Kuwait base to introduce an outdoor showing of his latest movie "Wedding Crashers."
"I've been in the Army long enough, if they say something's gonna take one day, they probably mean three," said Sgt. Danny Burdiez, 32, of Throgs Neck, the Bronx, itching to get home to his two kids and the new Harley-Davidson motorcycle he bought with a military discount in Baghdad.
"I'm just trying to burn off the time, and maybe get a burn," said Sgt. John Szemplinski, 35, of upstate East Greenbush, as he soaked up the scorching midday sun in nothing but black Army shorts and bracelets commemorating two fallen comrades.
"Yup, a nice shade of pink just in time for everyone to slap us on the back," said fellow sunbather Lt. Dan Hoover, 32, of Jersey City. "After spending a year in the desert, I can't go home pasty white."
Other soldiers dreamed of vacations.
"I'm going to take two weeks off, buy a kayak and go out on the Hudson," said Spec. Manuel Martinez, 29, of Yonkers. "I'd just like to hear the river sounds - actually hear birds whistling - instead of the constant drone of generators and artillery."
Sgt. Edwin Feliciano, 36, from the Bronx, was planning a trip to Jamaica with his wife, Patricia. He's missed two anniversaries and is hoping to make up for lost time.
"It's bittersweet. I should be excited about leaving, but half of me is staying here," he said, remembering the countless hours spent patrolling Baghdad and the time he once paid a farmer $20 from his own pocket to clear some grass that might otherwise conceal a roadside bomb. "We lost 19 guys, some of them real good friends. I think about them everyday."
Sgt. Philip Sampson, 57, had just one thing on his mind. "My wife, Judy," the medic from Buffalo said. "She's my treasure. I'm taking her straight to bed."

VERY CON-VINCE-ING: After the big celebrity fund-raiser Saturday night for the future Police Memorial, a bunch of the celebs trooped to Gibsons on Rush for an afterparty, where Vince Vaughn learned that former Bears QB Jim McMahon's 20-year-old son Sean is a big fan. That led the "Wedding Crashers'' star to call Sean at the University of Kansas -- thrilling the younger McMahon with a bunch of pals at a party. Afraid their younger son Zach would feel left out, Nancy McMahon convinced Vaughn to call him, too!
In a more touching moment, Vaughn told the Police Memorial event's emcee Tom Dreesen he heads to Iraq to entertain the troops Friday. That led Dreesen (who did the same with David Letterman back in December) to share stories about that moving experience with Vaughn.

Real cops mingled with TV cops Saturday night as thousands turned out to raise money for a tribute to officers killed in the line of duty.
"I think it's a long time coming," said actor Dennis Farina. "They've done it nationally, and it's time we do it here. I actually think this might be the start of something big, that other cities might follow suit after Chicago does it. And of course, as always, Chicago is a trendsetter."
Farina, a former Chicago Police officer and now star of TV's "Law & Order," was among several celebrities with Chicago ties who converged at the Arie Crown Theater to raise money for the Gold Star Families Memorial and Park for fallen police officers.
Gala-goers hobnobbed with such TV cops as Steppenwolf veteran Gary Sinise of "CSI: NY," Dennis Franz of "NYPD Blue," William Peterson of "CSI" and Larry Manetti of "Magnum P.I.," basking in the actors' support for those who protect and serve.
The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation has passed the halfway mark in its effort to raise $5 million, and officials hope the star-studded fund-raising efforts will bring them within reach of their goal.
The five-acre park, which will be between Soldier Field and Burnham Harbor, is scheduled to open next year.
Hosted by comedian Tom Dreesen, the event also included such celebrities as "Wedding Crashers" actor Vince Vaughn, Second City native and "Cheers" star George Wendt, former Bears coach Mike Ditka and members of his 1985 Super Bowl-winning team.
"I'm just proud to be a part of it," Vaughn said. "It's just a chance to say 'thank you' to the people that go the distance every day for you and me. Some of them, unfortunately, give the ultimate sacrifice, and this is a way to say 'we appreciate you.' "
An all-faith service at the existing Gold Star Memorial Park will be held at noon today to cap off the "Salute to Chicago's Finest" weekend.
With the support of the Chicago Sun-Times and other sponsors, the foundation hosted a candlelight vigil and 5K run earlier this year for the memorial.
"We all wanted to come home to do this. It's a chance for those of us who love this city to come back and say 'thank you' to the men and women who put their lives on the line for us every day," Dreesen said.

Sarah sent me a scan of an ad for the MTV Movie Awards. Check out the info on the bottom of the ad--Vince is "scheduled to appear!" Now I don't know if this means he's going to be a presenter or be in some taped bit, like in past years. But either way, we love it! Thank, Sarah for the scoop. Oh, and by the way, the show airs on June 9th, but will be taping this coming Saturday, June 4th at 5:30 PM at the Shrine Auditorium for all you red carpet watchers.

"STEVEN TYLER, DURAN DURAN, STEVE JONES, DAVE MEYERS, QUEEN LATIFAH, VANESSA CARLTON, ALICE COOPER and others design for the first Fashion Technology charity project, THROUGH THE EYES OF...
LOS ANGELES, CA - The ultra hip and celebrity favorite Genre Collection presents Through The Eyes Of... the first ever fashion technology installation debuting one-of-a-kind Hip Tunes technology accessories benefiting various charities. Artists from all genres have come together to co-design HipTunes, wallet/case belts for the Apple and HP iPods, with fashion designer Shanna Israel of Genre Collection. The HipTunes case is the only mp3 accessory of it kind on the market allowing the consumer to fashionably hold their mp 3 player along with a wallet that holds all of their necessities hands free!
Each creation for this project is a one-of-a-kind piece of wearable art that will be auctioned of on Ebay starting April 28th, 2005 and will run through May 28th, 2005. On Thursday, April 27th Genre Collection will be unveiling these celebrity designed HipTunes belts at an exclusive event at The Spider Club in Los Angeles. MAC Cosmetics will be creating artistic designs on the bodies of the models wearing the belts. Proceeds from the auction will be donated to VH1 Save the Music, The Lancelot H. Owens Scholarship Foundation, St. Judes Research Hospital, Hollygrove Children and Family Services, Sabrina Love Foundation and the Wes Wehmiller Scholarship.
Artists were selected by Shanna Israel because they all are legends and artistic leaders in their own right. Each belt was created as a tribute piece, highlighting personal themes or people that are significant to them. ¨Everyone who I teamed up with to create these unique pieces was not only donating their name but their time, their creativity and their personal memorabilia. Each design is truly a work of art. I am grateful that so many different artists came together to raise money for such meaningful causesÆ, says Israel. Steven Tyler (Aerosmith), Steve Jones (Sex Pistols), Dave Meyers (renowned video producer), Vanessa Carlton, Duran Duran, Alice Cooper, Queen Latifah and Jeremy Sisto (Actor) have all supported the project by co-designing a piece.
Genre Collection is a brand of accessories that defines the perfect fusion between function and fashion. ¨Hip TunesÆ is the newest style from Genre Collection that is a multi functional and hands free case that can hold Apple iPod and HP iPods. ¨Technology is the new fashion ± we are here to enhance the technology revolution by fusing fashion, technology and pop-cultureÆ Says Israel.
The one-of-a-kind pieces will open for auction on Ebay beginning April 28th, 2005."
So what I want to know is, did Vince design one of the cases or is he just there for the party?
This one was just too nice not to post.

Mercedes Benz Fashion Week 2005 Photos taken March 19, 2005
I've been feeling kind of yuck this week ~:( and don't have much energy to devote to the site, so until I'm feeling a little better, here are some pictures...more from the Los Angeles 'Be Cool' premiere, and a few from the one in Sacramento on Tuesday. The first two are up on ebay right now, here and here.

Vince and 'Be Cool' Director, F. Gary Gray, as seen on Access Hollywood tonight.

Above pics were found at Rex Features.

Wasn't this supposed to be tomorrow? :(
Update: I guess the date was changed last minute? That's a bummer for people who were going tomorrow. Does anyone know when the change happened?
Yet another update. It's our Governor's fault that it didn't happen tonight. Yesterday, I received an email from Sherri with the following info:
You can take the man out of Hollywood, but you can't take Hollywood out of the man.
Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger will bring a small slice of his former life to Sacramento on Tuesday when he hosts a capital premiere of "Be Cool," the new movie with a list of stars that includes buddy and sometimes film costar Danny DeVito.
While four-fifths of the tickets will go to special guests, 200 seats will be given away on local radio and TV to Sacramentans who will be able to attend the screening with film stars The Rock, Vince Vaughn and Harvey Keitel. And, of course, Arnold. Found here
So they moved the date of the Hollywood premiere to Monday and added the Sacramento one on Tuesday.
The last week has been crazy with emails about Vince, etc. and I've been trying to work through all of them and add news to the site. This one slipped through the cracks. Makes me glad vince-vaughn.com is a fansite and not an official website. I think I would have been fired. :P
LAST UPDATE, I PROMISE.
He was there, after all. I found this photo here. So far, there's only one of Vince. I'll check for more on the other sites later.

Here is another radio interview from Vince's visit to Australia. Scroll down to just past the middle of the page for the links. They weren't working tonight, but just keep trying...

What would I do without you fans sending me links and photos of Vince? Jean sent me these links from when Vince was promoting Dodgeball in Australia. My god, how adorable is Vince with Miss Universe, Jennifer Hawkins? And I'm sure he doesn't mind being called adorable, either.

Here's the link.
And while in Australia, he also appeared on a radio program called The Cage on 104.9 Triple M. My god, how adorable is Vince with Timbo? :P

You can listen to the broadcast here
Sorry if this is old news to some of you, but it sure brightened my morning! Thanks again, Jean!
Okay, that's all for tonight. Must sleep.

Hot off the grill...
Vince was at the London Premiere of Dodgeball today. (Most likely, he's partying as I write this, since it's close to midnight there.) WireImage and Getty are so efficient in posting their photos!*

Yeah, the pics are teensy-tiny. Sorry.
* Getty has added quite a few more, and you can see the larger, watermarked versions.
And speaking of voting, if you are between the ages of 13-19, you can vote for Dodgeball in the "Movie of the Summer" category of the Teen Choice Awards.
Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson and Will Ferrell are nominated for some awards, as well. So go and vote for Vince's pals! The show will air August 11, 2004, 8pm/7c on FOX--I don't know if there will be a red carpet arrivals show, but there's a chance Vince will be there.

Tomorrow night, July 18 at 9PM ET, Vince will be a presenter on the ESPY Awards.
Dodgeball was nominated for best sports movie, but didn't win. :-(
I found this picture on Webshots. It is from the Dodgeball Premiere and was taken by a fan. I was also at the premiere, but my photos didn't come out as well. I love this photo because it really captures the mood that Vince seemed to be in all night. All of the photos taken by the pros (i.e., Corbis, Getty, etc.) show the "on-camera" Vince. But when signing for the fans, he looked somewhat overwhelmed and stressed. Who knows what was really going on in his head, but this is the Vince that I saw that afternoon.
