Vince Vaughn and Reese Witherspoon are in final negotiations to star in New Line Cinema's comedy "Four Christmases."
In the film, Vaughn and Witherspoon will play a couple who struggle to visit all four of their divorced parents' homes over the Christmas holidays.
The project is based on a screenplay by Matt Allen and Caleb Wilson. Producing are Spyglass Entertainment's Gary Barber, Roger Birnbaum and Jon Glickman. Vaughn and Witherspoon are also in discussions to produce.
New Line production president Toby Emmerich and production executives Mark Kaufman and Michael Disco will oversee the project for the company.
Vaughn's credits include New Line's "Wedding Crashers." His upcoming films include "Fred Claus" for Warner Bros. and the "Vince Vaughn Wild West Comedy Show: Hollywood to the Heartland," to be released by Picturehouse.
Witherspoon, who won as Oscar for "Walk the Line," will appear in New Line thriller "Rendition," which is scheduled for an Oct. 12 release.

That sounds like it could be cute.
