This is brilliant. Every time I watch it, it gets funnier and funnier. I had no idea this was made back in 1997. The guy who does Karl is dead-on.
Also worth mentioning is the hilarious trailer parody, Brokeback Swingers (actually there are two Brokeback/Swingers parodies that I know of, but the other one isn't as good).

Posted at: August 16, 2006 12:20 AMI'd seen the Swingblade one before, but I've never seen Sling Blade so it didn't make much sense to me.
I think the Brokeback Swingers is kind of spot on. Even Vince and Jon talked about how their buddy films verge on the fact that they love each other - just not sexually, but like brothers - and MADE touches on this too, especially at the end when Vince and Jon are driving off into the sunset with the little girl.
