The trailer for "The Break-Up" ia now available on Moviefone. Can't wait for this movie!
And by the way, be sure to watch Entertainment Tonight tomorrow. They'll be showing the trailer and (I think) talking a little about the movie.
oh my gosh, already?! prob. from all the press their 'relationship' has received.

Posted at: November 4, 2005 5:50 PMI saw the trailer and I'm hoping that the powers that be are erring on the side of not showing the best bits. I didn't like it. It seems to be in the same vein as the Ross and Rachel breakup, and that bullshit was what turned me off to Friends. I never liked the idea that someone is absolutely right, i.e., the woman is always right when a breakup happens. I hope the scenes of them living together goes into new territories, but as of now, I am not impressed.

Jennifer's character seems to have the upper hand over Vince's and I hate that. I REALLY wanted this to be bitter and twisted like the awesome "War of the Roses" but, based on this trailer, it looks like another sappy rom-com.
Posted at: November 6, 2005 3:52 PMI have to wonder if the trailer was really a promotional tool for Vaughiston instead of for The Break Up. When Vince was on Charlie Rose, he cited The Odd Couple as a possible inspiration for the movie and mind you, The Odd Couple started out rather benign and then it took a turn. I have to wonder how much influence Entertainment Tonight had in the editing process, because the inserts were, again, about Vaughniston. I still planning to see the movie, but there isn't that anticipation I had for Crashers. Hopefully, the future theatrical trailers will be about the movie.
