Here's an excerpt from an article entitled, "How summer schooled Hollywood: 10 lessons Tinsel Town should have learned from a so-so movie season" by Tom Long, Detroit News film critic.
Found here
"The frat pack is darn near invincible: This is getting scary. The loose club of Owen Wilson, Luke Wilson, Vince Vaughn, Will Ferrell and Ben Stiller hit gold again this summer with "Wedding Crashers" ($144 million and climbing). They never all show up in the same movie, playing musical chairs from hit to hit, but "Crashers" (starring Owen Wilson, Vaughn and with a cameo from Ferrell) follows the success of "Starsky & Hutch," "Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story," "Old School," "Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy," "Meet the Parents" and "Meet the Fockers." Alone they can stumble (Ferrell had mediocre results this summer with "Bewitched" and "Kicking & Screaming"), but as a tag team they're uncanny."Posted by Christine at August 12, 2005 1:49 AM
there's a cute scan of jen and vince over at jen-fan.com, it is unsure to a lot of people whether they are in fact taken during a scene, but they are posing, and kissing...
Posted at: August 12, 2005 9:13 AMI know Jamilia, I saw it too, and there is this one:http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y243/annshine2/JenandVince22.jpg
Seriously doubt they are a couple, but not only do they look cute, they had dinner last week together, where both made seperate exits from the restaurants (also saw the photos up at the Jen Fan Forum), why would they go and do that? Something tells me they stretch too hard to deny. Oh well, as long as they are having a good time on and off set. Right?
i saw the hq's and this is what the webmaster said at the forum:
"Oh and guys, I now am pretty sure those cute candids were not taken during filming. If you look at the HQ's, you see that in the first one she's wearing high heels (she does this a lot during the filming, because Vince is a giant) but in the ones where they're being cuddly and having fun, she's wearing flip-flops that hardly go with the dress..."
she has a point, i am so excited, i'm like a schoolgirl eventhough i'm 26, haha. sorry, just a huge fan of both so yeah would be fun, but one can dream. certainly he's a better catch than brad.
It's strange that they would be posing, don't you think, and in plain view too. It's odd too considering what Vince said on Letterman. Although it could be nothing at all.
The dinner I read was with a group of people, not just the two of them.
Posted at: August 12, 2005 11:08 AMBased on this frat pack analysis - does this mean that The Break Up will be a flop, because it's Vince venturing away from the rest of the group and doing something without any of them? is there still time to throw in a quick cameo from Luke or Owen? ;)
Posted at: August 12, 2005 3:58 PMI don't think the Break Up will be a flop because Vince has Favs in the movie with him. They are pretty smart guys and I don't think they would make some of the mistakes that a certain elf is prone to making. What makes the "pack" so successful, though, is that regardless of whether or not the movie is a critical success, people will go to see it if Ben Stiller or Owen Wilson are in it. Hopefully with Vince's good run, people will go to see his movies regardless of reviews. Of course, that's a pointless hope because I'm sure the reviews will be great ;)
Posted at: August 12, 2005 6:46 PMI saw Return to Paradise, which had no other Frat Packers in it, and I absolutely LOVED this movie and loved his work in it. IMO he doesn't need anyone else in that group just to ensure his film isn't a flop.
Posted at: August 12, 2005 7:37 PMI think some of those films are considered flops. Dodgeball and Anchorman specifically.
Posted at: August 16, 2005 3:27 AMI think they are a really cute couple. They are both HOT and Jen deserves to be with someone who will treat her right. Vince seems like a really good guy. WAY TO GO JEN!
