They'll be so money once again, and they know it! Completing an unofficial trilogy that has so far encompassed the cult films "Swingers" and "Made," Vince Vaughn and Jon Favreau will reunite again for ""The Break-Up"," a comedy about a divorcing couple (Vaughn and Jennifer Aniston) forced to cohabitate. "He's going to come into "The Break-Up" and play my best friend," Vaughn reported, saying that the two friends will switch up their usual styles this time around. "There's no one funnier that Favreau, or brighter than Favreau. He [usually] makes himself the straight guy and sets me up to be the comic relief, but he's one of the best at being that comic-relief guy, so he gets the chance to do that a little bit here in '"The Break-Up".' "
Posted by Christine at June 16, 2005 5:08 PMwell it's official: i'm thrilled. i love favs. the only way this movie would be perfect is if jennifer aniston wasn't in it
Posted at: June 16, 2005 5:29 PMThat is great they are so great together... Gots to lov the Favs and Double V combo
Posted at: June 16, 2005 5:44 PMHip hip hooray! Vinny and Favs are incomparable. Now let's hope for the promised Western: the Marshal of Revelation.
Posted at: June 16, 2005 5:47 PMThis is GREAT NEWS!!! I hope the Break Up is a great success. Kinda interesting how Vince goes from Mr. & Mrs. Smith, and now does a movie with Jennifer Aniston. Mr. Professional, that's our Vince.
Posted at: June 16, 2005 6:41 PMLauren - I gotta agree. Vaughn and Favs will be excellent, but Anniston is one damn good reason to avoid a movie in my opinion. We all know what she did to Ben Stiller in Along came Polly, but I'm sure Vince will carry her well enough.
Oooo thats nasty...better get back to "yay for Vince and Favs!!!"
Posted at: June 16, 2005 7:13 PMI am just so happy they are acting together again! They are such a great team!
Superb on their own, but together.... SOOO FUNNY!
YAY!!!!
I got goosebumps when I read the news!!!
Very Happy!
WAY exciting!! I can't even put into words how amped I am about Favs joining the cast of "The Break Up". This almost helps me get over my disappointment over VV not being on Letterman tonight. Almost.
Posted at: June 16, 2005 8:38 PMI read this on line yesterday. I am so happy that this time it is Vince bringing Favreau on board. Even if it's a small role, or a cameo, I'll be excited to see them act together again. As for Jennifer Aniston, I hope she'll do a decent job. But, really it seems to me that this role calls for a female who can whine and that's what I always that she did best on Friends.
I also read where MLB is rolling out the red carpet for Vince...so look for a Cubs scene!
