I found this magazine (UK Cinema?) on ebay with Vince and Owen on the cover. If anyone has this, is it a good article? Worth buying?

Christine,
I must be honest, I've never heard of or seen a magazine called UK Cinema. But the design of the magazine looked rather like a Visimag magazine. Visimag specialise in Sci-Fi magazines though so I decided to check out their website for you. They have two movie based magazines - Film Review and Movie Idols. After looking at the item on eBay, what little you can see of the title (why was it cut off the scan?) doesn't really look like it says either Film Review or Movie Idol, does it? But I checked out a link for Film Review and on the Summer Blockbusters issue (released in May) details page it had this to say in the next issue section:
"Next Issue
We look ahead to the upcoming War of the Worlds, dip our toes into the US remake of Japanese horror Dark Water, go wild with the animated adventure Madagascar, join The Wedding Crashers and find out why The Heart is Deceitful Above All Things"
Although the magaine on eBay mentions The Wedding Crashers and War Of The Worlds, none of the other 3 movies are mentioned on the front page. So, because of that, and the chopped title, I'm a little suspicious personally.
I'm going into the city tomorrow though, and I can have a look in a huge magazine store there to check it out if you want to wait until then. If this magazine really exists, and it's out now, it'll be in that store.
Of course, I could be wrong, but better safe than sorry, right?
Posted at: June 12, 2005 4:07 AMTo me it looks like one of those mags you get free in the lobbys of the cinemas.
Posted at: June 12, 2005 4:12 AMI like the picture!
Posted at: June 12, 2005 9:40 AMWell, Christine it may be just you and me who got conned.
But, I bought it too
Let me know when you get it and I will do the same.
Posted at: June 12, 2005 12:11 PMYes, I have to agree that it looks similar to a mag you can pick up in the theatres here in the US--I can't remember what it's called.
I didn't buy this one...I was just hoping someone could tell me if the article was any good. If it's one of those freebie magazines, than I don't suspect it is very enlightening.
