Even tried to go through NBC exclusively to ask for the taping of the show. NBC told me that they do not sell any tapes.
Boy, I was crushed! The weekend this first aired (Saturday Decmber 5) I was still celebrating my 21st (even though it was on December 4th, 1977!) I forgot to set a tape up on my VCR; but I guess I must passed out from the clubbing and drinking the night before and I must have forgotten to set up a tape for the SNL show on December 5 before I left again to continue my partying from the night before.
